Cancellation Policies

See how to cancel a booking and what happens

Clients can see the standardized cancellation policy that applies to each photographer. Clients may cancel and review any penalties by viewing their booking details on their calendar & upcoming photo shoots page and then clicking 'Cancel' on the appropriate reservation.



Full refund 1 day prior to photo shoot date, except fees

  • If there is a complaint from either party, notice must be given to KYMA within 48 hours of session date & time.
  • KYMA will mediate when necessary, and has the final say in all disputes.
  • A booking is officially canceled when the client clicks the cancellation button on the cancellation confirmation page, which they can find in Dashboard > Photo Shoots > Upcoming.
  • The KYMA service fee is non-refundable.
  • Applicable taxes will be retained and remitted.
  • Cancellation policies may be superseded by safety cancellations, or extenuating circumstances. Please review these exceptions.

Up to 24 hours

For a full refund, cancellation must be made a full 24 hours prior to photo shoot's local start time on the day of the session.

Under 24 hours

If the client cancels less than 24 hours before the session time, the booking is non refundable.

Moderate: Full refund 4 days prior to photo shoot date, except fees

Strict: Full refund up until 30 days prior to photo shoot date then 50% refund up until 7 days prior to photo shoot date, except fees

From 30 days up to 7 days

For a 50% refund, cancellation must be made between a full 30 days and a full 7 days before the photo shoot's local time.

Under 7 days

If the client cancels less than a full 7 days before the session time, the booking is non refundable.

Very Strict: Full refund up until 60 days prior to photo shoot date then 50% refund up until 30 days prior to photo shoot date, except fees

For a full refund, cancellation must be made a full 60 days prior to photo shoot's local start time on the day of the session.

From 60 days up to 30 days

For a 25% refund, cancellation must be made between a full 60 days and a full 30 days before the photo shoot's local time.

Under 14 days

If the client cancels less than a full 14 days before the photo shoot's local time, the booking is non refundable.
